Humbled and honored to speak on the Impact of HBCU’s on the Black Family and on my life.
Here’s an excerpt:
“FAMU, as my HBCU of choice, set and maintained high academic standards despite those who would suggest that the ‘educational ice’ at the state university on the other side of Tallahassee was colder.
It was not.
My professors prepared me to write like Shakespeare, speak the King’s English, as well as Spanish, and leave with a greater sense of knowledge about my area of study, and pride about and confidence in myself and duty to help and uplift my people.”
The Choice for 2016: Change or more of the same.
