On the evening of April 8, 2025, Dr. Gallon proudly celebrated the outstanding achievements and contributions of District 1’s exceptional students at his monthly Student of the Month Recognition Ceremony held at North Dade Middle School. This recognition highlights not only the students’ success, but also the vital support of educators and family members who play a key role in nurturing student excellence.

For the past nine years, District 1 has remained committed to honoring students who demonstrate excellence in academics, attendance, attitude, assessments, and actions that reflect positively on themselves, their schools, and their families. The Student of the Month award serves as a reminder of the district’s dedication to fostering academic achievement and positive character development.
