The Honorable School Board Member Dr. Steve Gallon III will be inducted into the Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade Alumni Hall of Fame as a member of the 2023 Class. The induction event will take place during the Clubs’ “Wild About Kids” Gala, with the theme Motown, at the Loews Coral Gables Hotel in Miami, Florida, on October 28, 2023.
Dr. Gallon, who grew up in Liberty City and was a member of the Northwest Boys Club during the late 70’s, would go on to become a teacher, principal, District administrator, Superintendent of Schools, and now the elected School Board Member for District 1.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade Alumni Hall of Fame honors prominent citizens in the community who, as children, were members of a local Boys and Girls Club. Mayor of Miami Gardens Rodney Harris, WNBA player Erica Wheeler, and Actor Alex Livinalli are to be included into this honorable recognition and induction alongside Dr. Gallon.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade has been serving youth in the community since 1946. What once was a single building and site for boys has grown to six Clubs and sites combined serving thousands of boys and girls year-round, providing programs in the areas of character and leadership development, educational enhancement, career preparation, health and life skills, cultural arts and sports, fitness and recreation.
