School Board Vice-Chair Dr. Steve Gallon III held his monthly Student Recognition Ceremony at North Dade Middle School on the evening of November 16, 2021. Students, parents, and administrators attended the celebration designed to recognize the success of students in District 1.

Students were honored for academic achievement, attendance, generosity, improvement in iReady, and showing a positive attitude in the pursuit of learning, to name a few. Each student received a certificate of achievement and a student of the month T-shirt. Dr. Gallon gave special thanks to the Long Shoremen Local 1416 for their sponsorship and generosity to District 1.

“It is always a tremendous honor and privilege to recognize the outstanding achievements and positive acts of students in District 1 schools,” said Dr. Gallon.
