Dr. Steve Gallon III, School Board Member for District 1 of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools will be honored as a “2019 Trailblazer” by the Trayvon Martin Foundation. A product of the Miami-Dade County Public School system, Dr. Gallon is being recognized for his nearly three decades of relentless service and dedication to public education and the community as a classroom teacher, assistant principal, elementary school and high school principal, district administrator, adjunct professor, author, Superintendent of Schools, and presently, elected District 1 Miami-Dade County Public Schools Board Member.

The presentation will be held Sunday, February 10, 2019 at the Annual Trayvon Martin Foundation Remembrance Dinner in Miami, Florida. Dr. Gallon will also be participating in the Annual Trayvon Martin Peace-walk on Saturday, February 9, 2019 for the fourth consecutive year.
