On Monday, August 11, 2025, Dr. Steve Gallon III, District 1 Board Member on The School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida, joined parents, residents, and community stakeholders at Meet Me Mondays, hosted by City of Opa-locka Commissioner and Vice-Chair Joseph Kelly.

The event provided an open forum for dialogue on key issues impacting students, families, and schools across the community. Dr. Gallon delivered updates and engaged in meaningful conversation on topics that included budget, student performance, immigration policies, school safety, and extracurricular activities and athletics.
