On Tuesday, September 9, 2025, School Board Member Dr. Steve Gallon III held his monthly Student Recognition Ceremony at Carol City Middle School. Students, parents, teachers, and administrators attended the celebration designed to recognize the success of students in District 1.

Students were honored for their leadership, academic achievement, attendance, generosity, improvement, kindness, and showing a positive attitude in the pursuit of learning. Each student received a certificate of achievement, a medal, and a Student of the Month T-shirt.

“I am deeply honored, humbled, and grateful for the overwhelming support and active involvement of parents and families at tonight’s celebration of our students,” said Dr. Steve Gallon III. “The ongoing success of District 1 is directly tied to the dedication of every stakeholder in the education and empowerment of our students. This evening truly embodied that commitment.”
