On Tuesday, October 15, 2024, School Board Member Dr. Steve Gallon III hosted his October Student of the Month Recognition Ceremony at North Miami Senior High School. The event celebrated the outstanding achievements of students from District 1, with parents, teachers, and administrators in attendance to support and applaud their successes.

Students were recognized for their remarkable turnaround efforts, academic excellence, attendance, generosity, progress in Ready, and maintaining a positive attitude in their learning journey. Each honoree received a certificate of achievement, a personalized medallion, and a Student of the Month t-shirt.

“It is always a pleasure to assemble with parents, educators, and supporters of our students to recognize and celebrate their achievements,” Dr. Gallon said. “For 8 years, we have been consistent and intentional in elevating student success and will continue to do so.”
